Meet the local artisans who make the crafts you can find in our store!
Simply Stylish Stitches

Simply Stylish Stitches now has a display in our store for handmade book-themed goodies! We’ve got embroidered tote bags, embroidered sweatshirts, and bookmarks!
Katrice Faulkner, the owner, has been embroidering for 20 years. She is getting back into reading and prefers paperback books, although she also reads on Kindle. Katrice makes small batches of everything because she enjoys what she does and takes the time to make them with care. Her crafts are not mass-produced: it’s just her sitting in front of a 16-needle embroidery machine, sometimes late at night. She plans to change the theme of the display around the 15th of every month.

Ceramic Bob

Bob Gravelle is a local potter who has been doing pottery for a year and a half. He has an analytic mind, but when he discovered pottery, “it clicked,” and he was able to tap into creativity he never knew he had. Pottery makes him happy.
He uses food-safe glazes, but please hand-wash the ceramics (and don’t put them in the microwave).
You can follow him on Instagram here.

Rownan

Rownan hand-spins yarn on a drop spindle using natural and recycled fibers using art batts from other creatives.

Pretty Okay Candles

Pretty Okay Candles is a local candle company. They make small batches of wonderfully scented candles and wax melts.
Granny Hobbies
Granny Hobbies are absolutely gorgeous scarves and textiles made by our bookshop’s owner, Lena!

Eclectic Sunlight
Our store manager, Tracy, is a photographer, and she is selling postcards of her photos in-store. She also makes wire-wrapped jewelry.
